Founded in 1982 by Forrest Johnson, the firm is based in Atlanta, Georgia (with an office in Macon) and provides swift and aggressive action for clients who have suffered due to the negligence of others. Staffed with a team of experienced attorneys; investigators; medical consultants; technical advisors; paralegals and support staff, Forrest B. Johnson & Associates considers each client a high priority and provides individual attention and frequent communication concerning every aspect of the case.
A native Floridian, Johnson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 1975 and his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University in 1978. He was admitted to the Florida Bar Association in 1979 and then began his career as Assistant State's Attorney in Jacksonville, Florida. Johnson served as adjunct Professor at Jones Business College and Florida Community College before opening his own private law practice in 1982 in Jacksonville, focusing on medical malpractice, personal injury, auto accidents, tractor trailer collisions, wrongful death and product liability.
After admission to the Georgia State Bar Association in 1987, Johnson opened a practice in Atlanta, Georgia the following year. In addition to being licensed to practice law in the state courts of Georgia and Florida, he is also admitted to practice in the US District Courts of Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
Johnson is an active lifetime member of the National Bar Association and is the recipient of the Small Firms and Solo Practitioners Outstanding Service Award and the National Bar Association Presidential Award. In addition, he was the recipient of the Gate City Bar Association's A.T. Walden Outstanding Lawyer Award. Johnson has lectured at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy at Emory University, School of Law and has served as a guest speaker for the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Association of Black Women Lawyers. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, "medical malpractice is the third leading cause of death in the United States". According to the National Center for Statistics and Analysis, thousands of motorists are killed each year by large trucks, for a host of reasons that can include driving excessive hours; failure to maintain the truck properly; driver fatigue; speeding; failure to install blind spot mirrors and a host of other reasons. Personal injury cases encompass a broad range of circumstances that can include wrongful death; automobile, motorcycle, truck or bicycle accidents; slip and fall accidents; dog bites; and workers compensation claims.
For all of these reasons and more, Forrest B. Johnson & Associates works to get the best results for their clients. Having settled thousands of cases, taken hundreds to court and won millions for their clients, the firm achieves these results through dedication, hard work and total commitment to each and every client. "Results you can bank on," says Johnson. If you or someone you know has suffered a personal injury, contact Forrest B.
