
Angela Speir
Public Service Commissioner
As Public Service Commissioner, Angela Speir
has several distinctions before her name; first woman elected
to the Public Service Commission, first woman to chair the
Commission, and second Republican woman elected to a statewide
office. After graduating From Agnes Scott College with a B.A.
in Biology, Angela served as the Assistant Administrator at the
United Methodist Children's Home, providing medical aid and
counseling to abused children. Angela's interest in helping
others brought her to the employment industry, where she is
recognized as leader in her field for positive leadership and
mentoring. A successful advocate for children, Angela is
a supporter of the Gwinnett County Children's Shelter, the United
Methodist Children's Home, and Children's Healthcare of
Atlanta.
