Dr. Betty J. Tolbert Founder & Principal of Progressive Christian Academy
After seventeen years with the Bibb County Public School System, Dr. Betty Tolbert decided to make an even bigger difference. Armed with the desire to help children who were academically at-risk, she founded the Progressive Christian Academy, the first private black school of its kind. In this way, over the years, Dr. Tolbert has succeeded in motivating students to develop Godly principles, combined with high expectations and academic excellence.
