Judge, Georgia Court of Appeals

Debra attended the University of Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors.  While an undergraduate, she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Lambda Delta, and the Mortar Board Honor Societies.  Judge Bernes received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida in 1979 and subsequently became a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District for the Northern District of Georgia.
