Juanita T. Jordan

Executive Director of Payton Anderson Foundation

When Peyton Anderson, owner of the Macon Telegraph from 1951 to 1969, died in 1988, he had chosen Juanita Jordan to be named Director of the Peyton Anderson Foundation.  Anderson had set up two requirements for the disbursement of funds from the Foundation: recipients must be 501(c) tax exempt, non-profitable organizations, and the money must be used for the benefit of Macon and Middle Georgia.  As Director, Ms. Jordan is responsible for the disbursement of millions of dollars to fund charitable work of all kinds that better the community of Middle Georgia in a myriad of ways.
