Leah Sears

Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court

As the first African American female chief Justice in the country, Leah Sears has tackled one of the most important issues of our time - family breakdown.  Last year, she unveiled the Commission on Children, Marriage, and Family Law, a group that studies the legal consequences of the breakdown of Georgia families and makes recommendations for addressing the root causes.  Leah was recently elected to the board of directors for the National Conference of Chief Justices.
