Rita Samuels

Executive Director of Georgia Coalition of Black Women

 

As Founder and Executive Director of the Georgia Coalition of Black Women, Rita Samuels has been involved with women's advocacy for over 20 years.  Over the years, she has designed and implemented several proposals focusing on leadership training and citizenship training for women and girls in particular and for all disadvantaged people.  She is also a commissioner of the Georgia Commission on Women, which she helped create and served a four year term on, the first two years as Chair.  Rita has been recognized numerous times for her work on behalf of all Georgia women.
