After dreaming
about winning money, an Albany man has won
Money, Money, Money. Shelly Randle Jr. played the
Georgia Lottery instant game Money, Money, Money and won
one of the game’s $300,000 top
prizes.
“For the last month, I’ve been having dreams that
I was going to win some money,” says Randle, who works
as a spray booth operator for Cooper Tire & Rubber
Company.
“I’ve been telling all of my co-workers about the
dreams, so when they heard about my lottery win, they
all came up to me and hugged
me.”
Randle
purchased his lucky ticket at Mike’s
Tire
Center , located at
1706 S.
Jefferson St. in
Albany . He scratched
the ticket at home and couldn’t believe he won
$300,000.
“I
had to look at the ticket for 30 minutes,” he says.
“Then I started hollering and screaming throughout the
house. I ran all over the
house!”
Randle and his wife, Sharon, have two daughters.
According to Randle, he’ll use his winnings to pay bills
and help his family.
Since its first
year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over
$8.6 billion to the state of
Georgia for education.
All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific
educational programs including
Georgia ’s HOPE
Scholarship Program and
Georgia ’s
Prekindergarten Program. More than 900,000 students have
received HOPE Scholarships, and more than 700,000
4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary
prekindergarten program.
