Adams, Jordan & Herrington Purchases 915 Hill Park Building to House Firm
The law firm of Adams, Jordan & Herrington is pleased to be representing clients in a new location after purchasing the building at 915 Hill Park. The firm had been located at 577 Mulberry Street, in the Fickling Building, since September 2000. Hill Park was purchased in April 2021 and the group moved into their new space in May 2022. The firm consists of partners Virgil Adams, Jimmy Jordan and Caroline Herrington and the group is very pleased with the move.
Built in 1892, 915 Hill Park was converted to offices in 1982 and was used primarily by an accounting firm. Presently, Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia occupies the basement and a portion of the 2nd and 3rd floors. When the present accounting firm moved out, renovations began and Adams’ firm moved in once completed. The building is now fully occupied and the group has plenty of room to grow.
Adams felt like he has come full circle in his life. “I was born on Riverside Drive and grew up there until the 5th grade,” he said. “As a kid, I was very familiar with the area and we used to visit the drug store on the corner of Walnut and Spring Street,” he continued. “We would go down to the store and buy comic books and snow cones (they called them snowballs then).”
Specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice, veterans’ accidents and wrongful death, Adams, Jordan & Herrington can boast of more than 150 years of combined experience. The group has extensive trial and complex litigation experience and has secured millions of dollars on behalf of injured victims. With free and confidential consultations, the firm is the natural turn-to for individuals or families looking for relief.
A native of Macon, Georgia and a 1977 summa cum laude graduate of Albany State University, Adams earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduating from Albany State, he was admitted to the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University and earned his Juris Doctorate degree in June of 1980.
Following his graduation from Mercer and upon his admission to the State Bar of Georgia, Adams became Assistant District Attorney for the Macon Judicial Circuit in the Trial Division, handling numerous high profile cases. He also served as County Attorney for Bibb County for many years and continues to represent a number of elected officials in the consolidated government.
Adams is actively involved in the community and is a member of The American Association for Justice; the William Augustus Bootle Inn of Court; 100 Black Men of Macon-Middle Georgia; NewTown Macon; board member and past President of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia; Mercer Law School Board of Visitors; and the Mercer University Board of Trustees.
In 1987, Adams left the District Attorney’s Office and entered private practice with Mathis; Sands; Jordan & Adams, with offices in Macon and Milledgeville, Georgia.
