March is National Women’s History Month and each year, Career Women’s Network honors a nominee, who has contributed to the advancement of women, is a positive asset to their community, and continues to make a valuable impact to their profession.

On 4 March 2025, Career Women’s Network of Macon, Georgia honored District Attorney Anita Howard, naming her the Woman of Achievement for 2025. Career Women’s Network is an organization of women helping women.

The Central Georgia native has continued to show that justice and leadership have no preferred race or gender, as she is Macon’s First Female and the First African American District Attorney.

District Attorney Anita Howard has consistently made a significant impact through her forward-thinking approach, not only in achieving justice but also in implementing preventive justice within the field of prosecution.
