In Loving Memory
Rebecca Ann Thomas Gore
June 13, 1933 – February 14, 2025

Rebecca Ann Thomas Gore was born in Macon, GA on June 13,1933. Rebecca was the youngest of nine children born to the late John E. Thomas and Bessie Wade Thomas. She is the last of the Thomas family as all her brothers and sisters have preceded her in death. Bellevue Baptist Church has always been her family’s home church and she accepted Christ at the age of 14. Rebecca was educated through the Bibb County Public School System where she graduated from Hudson High School in 1950. Rebecca later married Aubrey “Beedy” Gore and had four daughters. She was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church and was a member of the Joy Club Ministry, the Pastor Aide Club Ministry, the Senior Usher Board, and she played piano for the choir. She was employed at Holiday Inn, Inland Container, and American Standard. Rebecca worked the polls and was very active in voters’ registration drives. After the death of her husband in 1995, years later she met her friend and companion, Frank Austin who preceded her in death in 2023. Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, walking, taking care of her plants, watching tennis and the stories, and feeding the neighborhood cats! Rebecca touched so many lives in her 91 years and was called home Friday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day; truly the heart of her family!

She leaves behind to cherish her legacy her daughters Velma Gore Albert (Ronald) of Locust Grove, GA and Mary Ann Gore, Audrey (Pat) Gore, and Phylis Gore Hoskins of Macon, GA. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Adrienne Albert Furlow of Acworth, GA; Candace Albert of Kennesaw, GA; Roneika (Corey) Campbell of Brooklyn, NY; V.
