Senator Donzella James Receives Legislator of the Year Recognition
Recently, Senator Donzella James (D, Atlanta) received the “Leroy Reginald Johnson Legislator of the Year” Award for her service to the State of Georgia. The recognition came during “Fulton County Day” at the Georgia State Capitol on February 16, 2023.
“It is an honor to be recognized by Fulton County as Legislator of the Year,” said Sen. James. “I look forward to continuing to serve the constituents of the 35th district, and it is a blessing to be recognized by Fulton County.”
Sen. James was recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives with House Resolution 129 to commend her service to the 35th Senate district. She received this recognition for sponsoring or co-sponsoring more than 400 pieces of legislation throughout her tenure in the Georgia State Senate.
