Earlier this month, a local Monroe business, Trike Training was awarded a $10,000 grant and $500 worth of LegalZoom services from the company’s Fast Break for Small Business Program, a program conducted in partnership with the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League. Trike Training is one of 30 small businesses from across the country to have received this grant during Small Business Month in May, which can be used to assist business owners with the tools and resources to start and grow their businesses.

Trike Training, founded in 2023, is a tech solutions startup reinventing employee management systems using a modern learning platform. Guided by its mission of transforming new hires into seasoned professionals, Trike Training works with businesses to develop custom training programs that make learning more effective and engaging. The co-founders of Trike Training, Jacob Forehand and Haley Power, established Trike Training to solve issues such as exhaustive and mundane training programs, employee burnout, turnover, and preparing employees for customer engagement.

“What we have developed at Trike Training is a service that empowers employees with practical knowledge about their workplace through training programs that are enriching and engaging. We are proud of what we have built and are grateful to be recognized by LegalZoom through the Fast Break for Small Business Program,” said co-founder and CEO Jacob Forehand. “With this grant, we are excited to expand our digital credentialing engine that allows frontline workers to have interchangeable credentials. Thank you to LegalZoom, the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League for supporting our rapid growth!”

Now in its third season, Fast Break for Small Business is the largest grant program for small business owners. The program has helped over 3,150 small businesses so far and is part of a six-million-dollar commitment from LegalZoom to provide both grant funding and pro-bono LegalZoom products to small business owners and emerging entrepreneurs.

“Coming from a company that values championing our customers, it’s great to see Trike Training’s commitment to innovating on employee training programs so their clients can provide the best customer experience possible,” said Catherine Davie, Head of Engagement, Impact, and Inclusion at LegalZoom. “We want to extend a heartfelt congratulations to the entire Trike Training team and wish them the best as they grow their business!”

The program will continue awarding small business grants monthly through September 13, 2024. For more information on the Fast Break for Small Business program, visit https://www.legalzoom.com/fastbreakforsmallbusiness.
